The Division of Fire is responsible for fire suppression, fire prevention, fire investigation, emergency medical service calls, building inspections, hazardous materials spills, fire apparatus maintenance, and emergency management. The division is one of the highest-rated firefighting forces in the State of Ohio, having been re-issued a superior rating (ISO-2) by the Insurance Services Office of America (ISO) in 1997.
